Have you noticed your moods have been a little pricklier, your emotions a wave or two stronger? It’s not your imagination, Taurus.

You’ve entered a sensitive new cycle that began back on November 8, when expansive Jupiter entered its home sign of Sagittarius, a cycle that only happens once every 12 years.

With Jupiter in your eighth house of intimacy, merging and shared resources, you’ll explore unchartered emotional, financial and spiritual terrain. Until December 2, 2019, your biggest adventures will involve journeying inward.

Those private spaces most of us tend to avoid (if not completely miss) will become your new stomping grounds. The devil AND the divine are in the details.

This month, you’ll really feel that intensity because the Sun is traveling through Sagittarius until December 21. This could leave you feeling raw and a bit exposed.

Not only is truth-teller Jupiter yanking back the curtain on your most secretive side but the energizing Sun is also heating things up. If feelings (or maybe a simmering attraction) reach a full boil, don’t say we didn’t warn you.

But hey, that whole stiff upper lip thing is overrated, Taurus. Try your best to adapt to this vulnerable new M.O. because you’ve got to live with it for the next 13 months.

If you do embrace it, there could be serious rewards. The eighth house rules “big money” and long-term wealth, particularly the kind that comes from joining up with other people.

Jupiter is the planet that rules risk and gambling, and while you don’t want to be wasteful, you could roll the dice on an investment, a property or passive-income opportunity. (Just avoid anything that gives off even a whiff of a pyramid scheme.)

Overall, you’re looking for ways that you can make your time and money work harder for you, and you’ll have special support from the stars this month.

Spiritual, emotional and sexual merging also fall under the eighth-house domain. This is a year that could bring a marriage—or divorce—a pregnancy, the pooling of money or some other super-officializing move.

The eighth house is very black-and-white: You’re either in or you’re out, and in some ways, your straightforward sign might actually prefer that.

The December 7 Sagittarius new moon will really set all this eighth-house energy into motion as it kicks off a six-month cycle to explore all the new nooks and crannies that open up for you.

If you’re planning to make a proposal (business or romantic), la luna will light the way. That day, action planet Mars and creative Neptune will also make a rare meetup in Pisces and your collaborative eleventh house.

Your networking efforts could pay off with a big opportunity, perhaps one related to technology or innovation. Today, it really IS about who you know! Just be careful not to get too excited too soon, especially with gullible Neptune clouding your better judgment.

But if you check references and things look good, you’ll have the all-clear to pursue those thrilling (and potentially lucrative) possibilities.

On December 6 (the day before the new moon), communication planet Mercury ends a three-week retrograde that began on November 16, rampaging through Sagittarius until December 1, then Scorpio, which are your two committed-partnership houses. Some of your closest ties went through the wringer over the last two months.

From October 5 to November 16, you endured a six-week retrograde by your ruling planet, amorous Venus, that rattled your relationships. With barely a beat in between, Mercury started its backspin several hours after Venus turned direct (forward). In short: You’re due for a legit break!

Pour a hot toddy and grab a sprig of mistletoe, Taurus. It’s finally safe to open up and reconnect with people. Given your headstrong temperament, it’s a safe bet that you have a few amends to make. Swallow that pride and apologize—for everyone’s sake. Now that the planets are back in their right mind, you can be too.

On December 21, the mood brightens even more as the Sun starts its monthlong sojourn through Capricorn and your expansive ninth house.

All that Sagittarius and eighth-house energy gave you tunnel vision, and that made it hard to see the big picture. Switch your viewfinder from “focus mode” to wide-angle settings—and prepare to toggle back and forth between the two.

The Cancer full moon arrives the next day, December 22, igniting your third house of communication. Not only will you be filled with grand visions, but you’ll be eager to talk about them.

These moonbeams should bring plenty of kindred spirits your way, and since it falls in your third house of local affairs, you won’t need to go far to find them!

Christmas Day promises some cozy catharsis with the moon in Leo and your domestic fourth house. Take the day off to nest and rest or to bond with loved ones if you celebrate.

Keep your comfiest robe and fuzzy slippers on, and if you’re craving company, host a low-key day at Chateau Toro. Putter around, eat leftovers or cook a hearty meal of comfort food. Just make sure you don’t take care of everyone else at your own expense. If people do their part, you’ll all feel nourished and nurtured.

The rest of the year looks especially bright for travel and spontaneous adventure. With Mars in Pisces and your convivial eleventh house until December 31, your social life will be off the charts.

New Year’s Eve also features a Scorpio moon in your relationship house that’s forming a gilded trine to enchanting Neptune, which is traveling alongside Mars in Pisces. If you’re in a relationship, it’s the perfect night to co-host a gathering or head out with your plus-one somewhere fun and filled with positive vibes.

Single Bulls could meet someone with LTR potential, perhaps through mutual friends. So don’t even THINK about staying home to watch a televised ball drop or tucking in before the countdown!

That said, on New Year’s Eve around 9:00 pm EST, Mars will disappear faster than this year did, plunging into Aries and your twelfth house of rest and fantasy.

With Mars powered down until February 14, you’ll want to give yourself some generous lead time on any ambitious resolutions. You could also feel a swift urgency to end a part of your life that’s become toxic or draining.

Closure is a perfectly legitimate New Year’s intention, Taurus—and with changemaker Uranus also in Aries until March 6, 2019 (when it will enter Taurus for an eight-year visit), the stars are truly sounding the call for freedom.

Liberate yourself from negative habits, outmoded ways of being and codependent cords. You’ve got all the cosmic support you need for it, even as a sign that dislikes sudden change.

Before you can say “in with the new,” you’ve gotta do an “out with the old.” There will be more novelty than you can shake a stick at come March, so prepare the space to welcome it!
